James Maddison tipped to start for Tottenham against Villa
Sports Mole predicts the playmaker will return to the Spurs XI at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday after recovering from a shoulder injury.
Sports Mole has suggested that James Maddison could be recalled to the starting line-up when Tottenham host Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday. The publication's predicted XI places the midfielder in an attacking role behind Dominic Solanke for the midday kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Maddison has been restricted to substitute appearances since returning from a shoulder problem, most recently featuring for 15 minutes during Tuesday's 3-1 defeat by Liverpool. In that cameo at Anfield, he registered two shots on target and completed all but one of his passes.
The outlet anticipates that Conor Gallagher could make way for Maddison, with Omar Marmoush, Savio and Solanke also named in the proposed forward line. Mathys Tel is expected to drop out of the starting side altogether.
Elsewhere in the predicted team, Sandro Tonali is said to be managing a knock, leaving Mateus Fernandes and Rodrigo Bentancur to operate in central midfield. Archie Gray is tipped to continue at right-back because of a muscular issue affecting Pedro Porro.
Villa travel to north London having beaten Coventry City 3-1 in the League Cup on Wednesday evening. Unai Emery's side sit three points clear of their hosts heading into the weekend fixture.
