Aston Villa travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday for a 12:30 UK time Premier League kick-off against a Spurs side still searching for their first league victory of the season. Sports Mole has previewed the fixture, noting that neither club has managed a top-flight win in the opening four rounds of the 2026-27 campaign.

The hosts sit 17th in the table and have yet to find the net in the division, having drawn goalless with Everton at home last weekend. Roberto De Zerbi's team were knocked out of the League Cup on Tuesday night following a 3-1 defeat by Liverpool, extending their winless run across all competitions to four matches.

Villa enter the contest having finally opened their Premier League goalscoring account last Saturday, although they fell to a 2-1 home defeat against Nottingham Forest at Villa Park. That loss marked their third in four league outings since the season began.

Away from the league, Unai Emery's side restored some momentum on Wednesday evening by securing a 3-1 victory over Coventry City in the League Cup at the Coventry Building Society Arena. The result followed a successful European trip earlier in the month, when Villa defeated Club Brugge 3-2 away in the Champions League.

Saturday's early kick-off presents both teams with an opportunity to climb away from the lower reaches of the table and register a first Premier League success of the term.
