Aston Villa supporters passing through Birmingham Airport can now pick up the club's 2026/27 shirts before boarding their flights. Birmingham Live reported on 1 September that the JD Sports branch in the departure lounge has begun stocking the latest Adidas designs for both Villa and Coventry City, priced ten per cent below standard high-street rates.
The home shirt retains a traditional claret body rather than adopting full-sleeve contrast panels, drawing visual inspiration from the club's 1960s look. A retro-style polo collar sits alongside pale blue detailing on the trim, while the manufacturer's heritage trefoil badge and a standalone version of the Villa lion crest feature on the fabric.
A woven texture across the material references the Founding Lamp sculpture situated outside Villa Park. The collar and cuffs are finished with ribbing in claret, sky blue and yellow.
Villa's change strip takes a darker approach, built around a black base highlighted by metallic gold elements. It shares the same historical branding cues as the home version.
Passengers using the retailer's loyalty application can claim ten per cent cashback on an initial transaction, according to the report. Birmingham Airport promoted the availability of the shirts on its social media channels, encouraging travellers to browse the selection ahead of departure.
With the summer transfer window having closed on 1 September, attention at Bodymoor Heath remains firmly on the pitch. For fans heading abroad or returning home, however, the terminal shop offers a convenient alternative to the usual retail outlets.
