Jadon Sancho remains without a club more than a fortnight after the summer transfer window closed, with The Mirror reporting that at least two unnamed Premier League teams have opened conversations with the 26-year-old in recent days. The winger became a free agent when his Manchester United contract expired on 1 September.
Sancho spent the previous campaign on loan at Aston Villa but was not offered a permanent deal. That followed an earlier temporary switch to Chelsea, who went so far as to pay a £5 million penalty rather than meet an obligation to buy him outright. Across five years at Old Trafford, he managed 12 goals and six assists in 83 appearances after arriving for a reported £73 million in 2021.
According to the German publication Bild, a third stint at Borussia Dortmund is under consideration. The Bundesliga side are searching for attacking reinforcements after Giannis Konstantelias suffered serious knee ligament damage, and Sancho is said to be open to accepting a heavily performance-based contract while waiving any signing-on fee. He made 158 appearances for the German club across two previous spells.
Beyond England and Germany, The Mirror states that teams in Turkey, the Saudi Pro League and the United Arab Emirates are exploring potential deals. One specific proposal mentioned involves Arabian Falcons, a Dubai-based outfit managed by former Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.
With the Premier League window now shut until January 2027, any immediate move within England would depend on free-agent registration rules. For now, Sancho’s next step remains unclear, though several avenues appear to be under discussion.
