Aston Villa are set to be without several players for Saturday's Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest at Villa Park, according to a team news roundup published by Sports Mole on Friday. The hosts head into the weekend fixture fresh from a midweek Champions League victory over Club Brugge, having played out a goalless draw in the league last time out.

Sports Mole reports that Amadou Onana is unavailable because of an anterior cruciate ligament injury, while Leon Goretzka is dealing with a knee problem. Brian Madjo is said to be out with an ankle complaint and Joao Gomes is suspended for the match.

Two further players are considered doubts for Unai Emery. Matty Cash is reportedly managing a muscle issue, and Johan Manzambi has a knee concern that could keep him out of the squad.

The publication also offered a forecast of how the home side might line up. Their projected starting eleven places Suzuki in goal behind a back line of Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Torres and Maatsen, with Kamara and Barkley in central midfield. McGinn, Buendia and Hemmings are tipped to operate further forward in support of Jackson.

Nottingham Forest arrive after their own goalless stalemate in the Premier League last weekend. Sports Mole suggests the visitors could start Sels in goal, protected by Milenkovic, Cunha and Murillo, with Gibbs-White and Jesus supporting Delap in attack.

With the summer transfer window now closed until January 2027, both clubs must work with their current squads through this period of fixtures. Villa have not issued any official comment on the injury claims outlined by the outlet.
