Fabrizio Romano is cited by the outlet as the source of the claim. Ipswich Town and Brighton & Hove Albion are named as two English clubs who made contact regarding a potential move, while unnamed European sides also monitored his situation before the deadline passed on 1 September.
Bogarde came through the youth ranks at Bodymoor Heath and has since accumulated 63 appearances for the senior side across all competitions. He is noted for his ability to play both as a holding midfielder and at right-back, offering Unai Emery tactical flexibility.
With the summer transfer window now closed until January 2027, no Premier League club can complete a signing until then. Any agreement over new terms would therefore secure Bogarde’s immediate future at Villa Park without the threat of an imminent departure.
