According to the preview, Villa generated total confirmed receipts exceeding £210m while spending approximately £101.5m, resulting in a net profit of more than £100m. The departure of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for £117m and Youri Tielemans to Manchester United for £35m provided the bulk of that income, fundamentally altering the age profile and wage structure of the squad.
The centrepiece of the rebuilding work was the acquisition of 20-year-old Swiss midfielder Johan Manzambi from Freiburg for a club-record £59.5m.
