Zion Suzuki shines as Aston Villa claim first Premier League win at Tottenham

Aston Villa secured their first Premier League victory of the campaign on Saturday, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 away from home. The win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was built on a commanding display from goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, whose shot-stopping kept the visitors in contention during a difficult opening period.

Tottenham arrived at the fixture without a single league goal to their name this season and looked set to change that early on. He was brought in as the club’s new number one after Emiliano Martínez completed a move to Chelsea at the end of the summer window. Paris Saint-Germain were also interested in securing his signature, though he opted for the guaranteed starting role in the West Midlands.

His performance prompted an immediate response from supporters watching the broadcast. While there have been nervous moments since his arrival, Saturday’s showing suggests he is more than capable of handling the demands of English football.
