Villa come from behind to beat Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Aston Villa claimed a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday lunchtime, bouncing back from last weekend's home defeat against Nottingham Forest. Johan Manzambi, Nicolas Jackson and Emiliano Buendía found the net to secure all three points for the visitors in the Premier League.

Manzambi was heavily involved throughout his 72 minutes on the pitch, registering a goal and an assist while attempting four shots. Jackson also scored once from six efforts before being withdrawn late on, picking up a booking during his 88-minute stint. Buendía played the full match, scoring one of the three goals and finishing with the highest individual rating of any player on either side.

Boubacar Kamara and John McGinn both completed 84 minutes in midfield, each providing an assist. McGinn created three chances, while summer signing João Gomes played the entire game alongside them. At the back, Victor Lindelöf, Tyrone Mings, goalkeeper Zion Suzuki and Matteo Ruggeri all featured for the full 90 minutes.

Matty Cash started but was replaced at half-time, having received a yellow card during his 45 minutes. Aaron Wan-Bissaka came on for the second half, while George Hemmings appeared for the final 18 minutes.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham were forced into an early change when Pedro Porro suffered an injury. The outlet reports that Archie Gray replaced him at right-back and endured a difficult afternoon, managing only one touch inside the Villa penalty area and losing possession three times.

The same report claims Gray was dribbled past twice and won only three of his seven ground duels. Villa goalkeeper Suzuki made a save to deny the 20-year-old shortly after his introduction, though Football Insider states there was little else to trouble the visitors from that side of the pitch.

Tottenham remain without a league win this season and sit 18th in the table despite significant summer spending. Villa, meanwhile, travel again next month when Brentford visit Villa Park on Saturday 10 October.
