Aston Villa beat Tottenham 3-2 as McGinn and Kamara provide the assists

Aston Villa secured a 3-2 Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The result followed Wednesday's 3-1 League Cup success at Coventry City and gave Unai Emery's side another important away win after their Champions League triumph at Club Brugge earlier this month.

Emiliano Buendía, Nicolas Jackson and Johan Manzambi all scored during the contest. Manzambi was particularly influential, finding the net once while also setting up a teammate, completing 72 minutes of action before being replaced.

John McGinn and Boubacar Kamara provided the other assists as Villa carved open the home defence. McGinn completed 84 minutes and created three chances, while Kamara matched that playing time and added a key pass of his own.

Jackson led the attacking threat with six attempts, two of which tested the goalkeeper, and picked up a booking during his 88 minutes on the pitch. Buendía finished with the highest individual rating among the starting eleven after registering three shots and three key passes across the full 90 minutes.

At the back, Tyrone Mings played the entire match alongside Victor Lindelöf. Zion Suzuki was ever-present in goal, while summer signing Matteo Ruggeri completed the full game at left-back.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who arrived from West Ham United before the transfer window closed on 1 September, featured for 45 minutes. Matty Cash also played the first half but received a yellow card during his stint.

The club's official website published McGinn's post-match reaction to the victory later on Saturday. Villa now turn their attention to Brentford, who visit Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday 10 October.
