Emery pleased with Villa's response after win at Tottenham

Aston Villa secured a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this afternoon, and Unai Emery was quick to praise his side's character once the final whistle blew.

The club released the head coach's post-match thoughts shortly after the game, with Emery stating he was delighted with the response his players produced against Spurs.

Villa had to work hard for the three points on the road, but the result caps a positive week that began with Wednesday's 3-1 League Cup success at Coventry City.
