The publication points out that Villa currently sit bottom of the Premier League shot statistics with only 25 attempts across their four matches. Their sole league goal arrived last weekend when Alysson equalised against Nottingham Forest, shortly before Igor Jesus struck a late winner for the visitors.

Tactical adjustments have seen Emiliano Buendía adopt a more central attacking position following Morgan Rogers' summer move to Chelsea. The Argentine midfielder found the net during the Champions League trip to Belgium and has scored four times against Spurs throughout his career.

Betting firms had considered both Villa and Tottenham as potential top-four candidates before the season began, but those odds have drifted significantly. The Independent reports that bookmakers now price Spurs at 11/1 and Villa at 20/1 for Champions League qualification.
