Aston Villa reportedly secure first Premier League win of the season with victory at Tottenham

Aston Villa are reported to have claimed their first Premier League win of the season after coming from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. According to Birmingham Live, Johan Manzambi, Nicolas Jackson and Emi Buendia scored for Unai Emery's side during the early kick-off.

The publication states that the hosts attempted a late rally, finding the net twice in the closing stages through goals in the 86th and 98th minutes. Birmingham Live reports that those strikes ultimately proved insufficient, leaving Tottenham in 18th place in the table.

Villa's victory in north London follows their midweek progress in the League Cup, where they defeated Coventry City 3-1 at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Wednesday. Emery's squad have now recorded consecutive wins across competitions heading into next month's home fixture against Brentford.

Birmingham Live also detailed the reaction of TalkSport presenter Jamie O'Hara, who filmed himself expressing his frustration on Instagram after watching the match. The outlet reports that he criticised several individual players and questioned the direction of his club during the video.

O'Hara's outburst was said to have startled his dogs as he paced around his home. He is quoted by Birmingham Live as saying: "That's it. That's it. I'm done. I'm gone. Absolute f****** joke."

The report adds that O'Hara had already endured a difficult week on air, having been mocked by co-host Jason Cundy following Tottenham's earlier cup exit. Cundy is said to have worn a mask while ribbing his colleague about the team's recent performances.

For Villa, the focus now shifts to their next Premier League outing. They host Brentford at Villa Park on Saturday 10 October, looking to build on what Birmingham Live describes as a significant morale-boosting result away from home.
