Aston Villa have marked consecutive victories before the upcoming pause in their fixture list. The club issued a brief official update on Monday acknowledging the run of results heading into the interval.

Unai Emery's side secured the second of those wins on Saturday with a 3-2 Premier League victory away at Tottenham Hotspur. That result followed a 3-1 success at Coventry City in the League Cup the previous Wednesday.

Villa will not play again until Saturday 10 October, when they host Brentford at Villa Park in the Premier League.
